On March 4th, the newly renovated CSIA library was unveiled through a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This renovation went far beyond simple facility maintenance or cosmetic upgrades—it was a comprehensive spatial transformation that thoughtfully reflected students’ learning habits and daily routines, including lifestyles.

The library transformed from a monotonous, restrictive space into a multifunctional environment that balances study, relaxation, and collaboration. Various learning areas have been created, including private study carrels for focused reading, communal tables for group discussions, and cozy window-side sofas with natural lighting. This diversity allows students to choose the environment that suits them best, promoting a more efficient and personalized study experience. The warm-toned lighting and natural wood finishes provide a clean yet comfortable atmosphere, giving the library a fresh and stylish new image.

One of the most well-received changes among students is the upgrade to the digital and convenience systems. The introduction of an unmanned system now allows students to search for, borrow, and return books even outside of regular library hours. This added flexibility has greatly supported independent reading and learning, as students are no longer bound by a fixed schedule.

The printing system has also seen significant improvements. With expanded printing facilities located outside the library and an increased number of printing computers, waiting times have been drastically reduced. This has made it much easier for students to print materials for classes, presentations, and research projects, leading to higher overall satisfaction.

Additionally, an open-concept convenience space near the library has been created as an alternative learning zone. Designed for deep reading, laptop work, or quiet conversation, this space is especially popular among students who prefer not to use the main reading room during self-study hours. It offers a more relaxed environment for those seeking to concentrate outside of traditional settings. The students’ feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and library usage has significantly increased since the renovation.

Ultimately, the transformation of the school library goes beyond physical improvements. By integrating student-centered design, expanding learning options, and minimizing time-based constraints, the renovation stands as a reflection of the school’s educational philosophy and its commitment to cultivating a student-focused learning culture.
