The new semester has begun, coinciding with the beautiful autumn season. It's hard to believe that there are only three months left in 2024. How has this year been for you? Don’t worry. We still have time ahead. And I hope you all can make the second semester fulfilling and rewarding.
For the senior students in high school, the upcoming college entrance exam is especially important, and for both middle and high school students, this second semester is crucial. But don’t be too overwhelmed. Let’s welcome this new season with open arms and create meaningful days with renewed spirit and determination.
I’d like to recommend a movie that’s perfect for autumn: "Little Forest," focusing on the summer and autumn segments. Based on the book by Daisuke Igarashi, this film tells the story of discovering the beauty of everyday life in nature. As the protagonist returns to her rural hometown and begins a farming lifestyle, the narrative beautifully captures the changes in nature and the flow of the seasons, reminding us of life’s preciousness. The rich visuals of nature and fresh produce provide comfort, while the protagonist’s inner growth and emotional journey are depicted with great sensitivity.
There are certainly times when daily life can be exhausting and studying leads to burnout. During such moments, I recommend watching this movie. It’s a peaceful, healing movie without being overly stimulating.
Additionally, this autumn, read more books and keep journals to reflect on ourselves. It’s natural for middle and high school students to feel lost and challenged at times. Knowing what you enjoy and finding ways to cope can be incredibly valuable. I hope you all take care of yourselves and pursue what you love during difficult moments. We have all done well so far this year, and we will continue to do well. So don’t worry and enjoy this moment.
Wishing everyone a joyful second semester filled with happiness!
