It is now June, and students are busy preparing for the finals, writing club reports, and eagerly counting down the days left until summer break. However, other than these exams and academic work, another big event is coming up: the election for the school president at CSIA (CheongShim International School). The school is currently recruiting students to run for the student council president. It is estimated that around 10 teams signed up for this position, which is significantly more than last year, when there were around 6 teams. Each team consists of one president and 2 vice presidents, one male and one female.

We can see the candidates actively running around, seeking helpers for their election. The helpers, or supporters, promote the teams and shout out slogans on the way to school or at lunchtime. The teams will compete with their peers, seeing who has the most helpers or who has the most fanciest sash. The election itself will be held after the finals, and before summer break so that the future president gets to be active from the second semester.

The voters, which are the students, will be electing their school president based on the leadership qualities and the promises made by the runners for president. In the election, the teams will introduce their promises for the student council president and will ask questions and debate. Based on this discussion, the students will cast their votes and the president will be chosen democratically.

The scholars are eagerly awaiting for the chance to make their voices heard and the opportunity to influence how the school will be ran. This is a great chance to achieve student leadership, which is also a part of our school motto, ACG (altruistic mind, creative knowledge, and global leadership). Students are waiting for the election with enthusiasm, spirit, and passion.
