On April 3rd, middle school students embarked on a much-anticipated spring field trip to two of Korea’s most popular theme parks: Lotte World and Everland. Each grade visited a different park, enjoying an exciting, tailored experience. From thrilling rides to colorful parades, the day was filled with laughter, adventure, and lasting memories.

Seventh and eighth graders spent the day exploring Lotte World. Located in Jamsil, Seoul, the amusement park offers a diverse combination of both indoor and outdoor attractions, from the Atlantis to the classic merry-go-round.

For the ninth graders, Everland offered the perfect backdrop to celebrate the blossoming of spring. As Korea’s largest theme park, Everland is known for its gorgeous scenery and fun rides. The zoo was a highlight, where students saw everything from adorable pandas and majestic lions to sturdy buffalo and towering giraffes. The safari gave students an up-close look at the animals, offering both fun and educational insights into wildlife. And of course, the visit wasn’t complete without the adrenaline rush of rides like the T-express, Rolling X Train, and Double Rock Spin.

Adding an extra layer of fun, 9th graders also took on special teacher-designated missions. In one class, students took photos with classmates they didn’t know well. Overcoming their awkwardness, students stepped out of their comfort zones and formed new friendships.

The spring field trip was more than just a break from school life; it was a chance for students to broaden their horizons and embrace new values through real-world experiences. Several students stated that field trips provide a refreshing escape from the usual school landscape. The writer is excited for future field trips that will continue to encourage students to explore, learn, and tap into their creativity.
