La Biennale di Venezia (Venezia Biennale) is one of the biggest art events in the world, also called 'the Olympics in Art.' Starting in 1895, countries around the world competed to showcase their own artworks on Venice Island. This year, the Venezia Biennale will be held under the theme 'Foreigners Everywhere.' It will be held from April 20 to November 24, 2024, and showcase works by 332 artists.

Many art professionals are paying attention to this year's event, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, and experts have high expectations. Moreover, following the first female director at the last Venezia Biennale, the art director has been announced as Adriano Pedrosa, the first Latin curator.

It is also noteworthy that four Korean curators will showcase the exhibitions of the three Asian countries: two living artists, sculptors Kim Yun-shin and Lee Kany-Seung, and two historical artists, Lee Quo-de(1913-1965) and Chang Woo-song (1912-2005).

Overall, the show turns its focus to "artists who are themselves foreigners, immigrants, expatriates, or refugees" while also expanding the definition of "foreigner." As in previous editions, this year's Venezia Biennale organized the central International Art Exhibition and 90 national pavilions by their respective home countries.
