The convenience store in CSIA has gone through a large-scale renovation. With its new exclusive building and state-of-the-art interior located in front of the Aecheon dormitory, the convenience store has introduced its newest name, "CSIASIS." Students now enjoy its "enhanced" location, "newer" facility, and "diverse" items… Or do they?

Students’ concern regarding the prices arose as the new CSIASIS opened. Most complaints are regarding its new prices, as students have experienced significant price increases on most items. Prices of previously existing items have increased by approximately 19.39%.

Students also express concern about new overpriced items. Newly added items such as pencils, fried chicken, cheese pizza, and instant cup rice are priced approximately 206.25% compared to the most affordable deals found online.

An 18th class middle school student commented, "They go on the Internet, buy the items, double the price, and resell them here."

Considering that the convenience store has to pay off its renovation fees, a slight price increase on items is acceptable. However, the extreme price increase rate alongside new items with retail prices far beyond the production cost is concerning. The problem seems inevitable due to CSIA's very limited access to foreign infrastructures and the convenience store's unique monopoly system.
