Don’t you feel an indescribable rhythm in a harmonious painting? The artist who painted this artwork is named Yoon Hyup. A lot of audiences express his painting as a ‘precious experience more than painting’.

Yoon Hyup, who is actively based in Brooklyn, New York, is an artist born in 1982 who creatively tells the ordinary moments but also unusual moments and the stories of people in them with only using ‘dots’ and ‘lines’. In fact, if you appreciate his paintings, you can see that all his works are filled with only dots and lines. For him, dots and lines are abstract expressions of energy that are out of form but clear feelings, at the same time, dots and lines are his own communication methods. The speed, composition, and rhythm come from dots and lines move spontaneously, and this makes the audience feel the aesthetics of melody playing by dots and lines. His representative artwork, the Night of City series, was created by mixing dots and lines in various ways and then adding colors without drawing a sketch of the image. Yoon Hyup said about the meaning of night, that the night allows diverse properties that were not visible during the day.

With his special painting style, he has attracted the attention of not only the audience but also many artists. He is also active in wide fields, such as live painting, graphic design, music album covers, and public art projects. Moreover, he has collaborated with many global brands, including Facebook, Nike, and Huff.

Yoon Hyup, who likes music and skateboarding and says that his only goal is to keep drawing, is an artist who also has the aspect of a pure child. His comfort in a lonely city reminded many people of the romance they had forgotten.
